Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a exuberant personality, shares easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked and studied at the top New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. After earning an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by registering as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she says. I couldn't learn or do enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food and culture. It will have a significant impact on how Burrell prepares her food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of children who face problems. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes.
